In the wake of the 9 North Road scandal, Paul Cohen has changed his story multiple times, lying to the Board of Selectmen and misleading the good people of Chelmsford repeatedly. Selectman Jon Kurland continues to vigorously defend both Phil Eliopoulos and Paul Cohen, claiming that “nobody did anything wrong.”

The following video, produced by the good people at CheatingChelmsford.com, is less than two minutes, yet in it Cohen manages to change his story over and over again to accommodate new lies – just like wooden-headed Pinocchio. Watch Paul Cohen’s nose grow as he prevaricates:

All fun aside, it is troubling that Chelmsford town officials, and in particular the Board of Selectmen, refuse to refer this scandal to a Land Court judge for investigation and adjudication; refuse to initiate an investigation of the ethics violations of Town Manager Paul Cohen and former selectman Phil Eliopoulos as mandated by the town’s ethics bylaw; and refuse to move to enforce the preservation restriction on 9 North Road.

Personal attacks on me and other critics will intensify as the date of the August 2 recall vote gets closer. However, the inescapable fact is that the folks calling for good and honest government are not the ones facilitating and covering up graft; are not the ones building unlawfully on a designated public park; are not the ones lying to the good people of the town. The current selectmen will never act to rectify their own malfeasance or that of the Town Manager. The only solution is to remove them and replace them with officials who will act with more good will toward the community and its residents.
